MAN: THE HIGHEST CREATION

With a wave of her magic wand, the fairy has changed the prince into a frog. At a magician’s command, a rabbit came out of his hat. And with one blow, God has created man the highest and most beautiful creation.
God has created numerous organisms in this world, the birds, the horses, the dogs, cats and the most important, the man, the highest form of life in which I, you and all the man in the world belong. He created us for He knew that only man can take care all of His other creation. He made us different from the others. We must be thankful to Him because He made us so unique; we have the minds, the ability to think whether this is good or bad and that we’re able to feel something. We can be merry, feel sorry, depress and tired. We can also feel the true meaning of love in which any other organisms can’t feel. Although the proverb says that ‘Nobody is perfect’, we can only say that above all we are the best. We have the brain, the ability to make such things and we, all have freedom to speech, to travel the whole world and a lot more. We are so blessed for God has created us with all these unique abilities.
As the pale, silvery moon peeped from behind the dull gray clouds and when bedtime comes, couldn’t you imagine how were you created, how was the intricate body organs put together and what are were the reasons behind your feelings toward this and that? I hope that you realized that you’re the best creation of God and that you must not abuse the most beautiful life God has given you.

MAMA

“Mother Sweet mother of mine…..” As the song entitled ‘Mother of Mine’ goes on, I remember my childhood memories with my mother and I longed for her sweet embraces when I was still a kid. Every memory of her makes me feel contented with my life being with her. I am an adolescent now and I no longer have enough time for my mama (as I called her). I am so busy with my studies so, if ever I have time, I enjoy it with her because I know that time is gold and that we should not waste every tick of the clock.
The most lovable, most beautiful and most affectionate person I know is my mother. Every time I got hurt, she caresses my wounds. If ever I have problems whether it’s big or small, she’s always there to help me, to give advices and to be my guide in making decisions. You can always count on her. She’s my inspiration in life. Once we have a promise and until now, I didn’t break it for it was for my own good. My mother is also the busiest person I know. She always seems to keep herself busy preparing meals, washing clothes and performing other tasks around the house. I don’t remember having been seen her sitting for an hour in one day. Because we have a store, she doesn’t have any extra time for resting except in the night. But even she doesn’t have extra time; my mother is as beautiful and as sexy as ever and to tell you the truth, my mama’s face doesn’t have any pimples, the reason why she still look young.
She’s an all around mother. She’s a good cook. She knows how to make good food whether its pastries, ordinary meal or desserts. My mother’s also a good singer (even if it is the oldest song of Frank Sinatra) and a good dancer (whether it’s hip-hop or waltz). Whenever you want her to wash you clothes, you won’t regretting it because my mama’s services are good. She is ever ready to help and encourage everyone. She has every word to say. When you argue with her, I bet she will be the winner. She has every word to say. If ever she’s with us, our small house will be full of laughter. When you’re with her, be ready with your jokes because she has all the funniest jokes to share with.
I am very thankful to the Lord for He is so good that He gave me such kind of mother. I am also very proud of her and that I don’t want to lose her even in a dream. I don’t think there could be other mother who is as kind, as sweet, as beautiful and as funny as my mama.

MAKING FRIENDS

For every moment of loneliness, you’ve got to have a companion. It may be your parents, sisters, brothers or your friend, the one who will keep on listening to your grieves and the one who keeps a promise. Making friends will just be easy if you’re a friendly person and can be trusted. You’ll find it difficult if you’re a stubborn and unreasonable person. You can be very unpleasant in that way that people are afraid to make friends with you.
In the first few days of being a student, you found it difficult to adjust with your new environment. You met new faces, new classmates, and your teachers. You got jealous with your classmates when they go with their friends. You were eager to make friends with them and to be accepted by them. Some may welcome you in their company, some may not. When they don’t, you get disappointed.
At first, it is difficult for you to be with your new friends and to catch up with the things they were talking about. But when the days pass by, you will become one of their formal group members. When this occurs, you’ll forget the people that didn’t accept you as their friend. But admit also that when you saw the people around you, there were some you liked and some you didn’t. You probably compared them with each other and said to yourself, “Well, his a nice boy. I like him. Even I don’t know him well; I’ll accept him to my company. But that’s ones different, I don’t know but I don’t much safe beside that guy.”
Liking and disliking is in everyone. You can’t explain it and when people asked you why, you shrug your shoulders as you say, “I don’t know, I just don’t like him.”
Having many friends is good but when you only make friends for popularity, never mind!

LIFE IN THIS UNIVERSITY

You’re a new student in University of the Philippines High School. To you, the world seems to be turning in a different and wrong direction. You don’t understand what’s happening in your new and different life. You can’t explain your feelings sometimes you feel very excited but sometimes very nervous. You’re no longer the timid and pampered girl whose identity was not so familiar. At first, you found it difficult to adapt your new environment. You probably are thinking of stepping back, run and never to return. But as you trudge along the path to success, you get the nice feeling from your first taste of independence.

In high school, their will be more lessons to study, less time to enjoy oneself more things to do and more problems to deal with. You have to budget your time because you’ll be very busy all-day long and being so busy can make you feel so depress. The word busy will not be anymore new to your vocabulary. If you experienced being busy a few years ago in your elementary years, you’ll be experiencing it more often, all the time, anywhere, everyday and you seem to be alone carrying the whole world plus its great population with your bare hands. Every dismissal time, you go home tired and restless. Probably you wish that tomorrow will be your summer vacation but it’s not. You’ve got to have sleepless nights just to finish all the paperwork and the mountains of assignment and before you go to bed, you first scan your notebook. Don’t ever come to school without preparing yourself.

Still on weekends, your tasks are not yet finish. You have a lot of projects to work on that to be passed on the next school day, many lessons to be studied and many things to be researched on. If you don’t try hard and let your laziness drag you downward, you will go no further. On the other hand, you can be patient and hardworking and because of this, you can make a great success.
With all the paperwork, mountains of assignment and projects, confusing lessons hard works and all of the other things to do, would you still make for the good and quality education you’re wishing? Well, even with all these odds, you have come came to that conclusion that this is life, the very life of a U.P High School student and you must accept it; you just don‘t know that someday, you’ll get merits from all your sacrifices.
