“Daddy, let’s go shopping! I want to buy new clothes,” demanded the youngster.
“Honey, just ask your mom. I have some work to finish here,” complained her aging father.
“I’m sorry baby, maybe later, tomorrow, or any other time. Not now, I have many other things to do, plus, there’s your baby sister. Would you please tend the baby for a while, dear?” said her mother.
Well, what would the youngster do? Obviously, she would baby sit her younger sister without any complains to her mother or father.
This is but one of many conversations among family members; an image of a family whether you say that it is a good or a bad example of family. One’s family has to be supportive to every member, in good times or in difficulties. Well, a family is composed of a mother, a father, and son(s) or daughter(s). Each one in the family has something to do for the good of their household. Each on has his or her own duty and responsibility.
A family is group of individuals living under on roof and under one head. To some of us, the common head of the family is our father. Fathers are said to have the biggest duty and the one bearing the entire burden. As a head, he serves as the family’s foundation. He is the one protesting his wife and children. He bears the entire burden because during storms, he’s the one defending the family. He provides the daily viand. He is also the one working for the family to have enough money to sustain their need. Without him, like any other men, you hadn’t been there reading this entry of mine and I had not written this.
A house being a mansion will not be called a mansion without its lights turn on. Like a mansion, a family must have a light which guides you even through pit holes; a light which enlightens you with your problems; and the light which encourages you to contend obstacles you encounter. A light that will long last even if it is heavily rained during storms and a light having the highest voltage among all lights. A family’s light must be the brightest, brighter than thousands of lighted bulbs; the most beautiful; the most expensive-------and that is the mother, the goddess of the family. When father brings the food, mother is the one tasked to cook it. When father produces money, mother will be the one to budget it for the family. Thereby, father and mother are real partners in life. See? Even in making us they are partners!
A family will not be called a family even if it has a father and a mother. And a parent will not be called a parent if it has no young, whether it is a girl or a boy. If fathers are the foundations and the mothers are the lights, then the children are the appliances and the things inside each house. Children are the luckiest members of the family. Why? Because children are protected, supported and loved by their parents. But they do also have tasks to accomplish. Parents are fortunate with their children because they are their hopes. Their children are their angels. They are the one who will bring them to wealth and to good fortune.
Some families, I guess, aren’t just the same with this kind of family. But it is a nice feeling for you having a family to lean on in times of trouble because it has been said that your family is your number one best friend.
